Black Creek K-9 Pipeline Leak Detection, LLC uses the amazing olfactory power of dogs to detect pipeline leaks in a matter of minutes. Everyone is aware that dogs can use their sense of smell to detect several things – contraband electronics, illicit drugs, trafficked wildlife, and even cancer.
BCK-9 is a veteran-owned business and I worked as a dog handler for the U.S. Marine Corps and as a civilian contractor for many years. My experience includes overseeing a national explosive detection canine training program, serving as a combat canine tracking handler, and several other high-profile military endeavors that require the use and training of dogs.
Whether it’s commercial, industrial, or residential, oil and gas line leaks pose a danger and loss of profit. The challenge is to identify them correctly and fix them as quickly as possible. Our K9s are specifically trained on industry-approved odorants and hydrocarbons to detect issues in the most efficient ways. Despite all the incredible technology that humanity possesses, it is still no match for the incredible nose of a dog. The dogs are agile, accurate, and especially useful in areas where equipment is hard to get to. From an ecological perspective, dogs do much less damage to sensitive environmental areas.
In addition to detecting oil and gas pipeline leaks, the animals I work with are also trained to detect:
My dogs are trained to detect illicit drugs, just like law enforcment law agencies.
From handguns to other weapons and ammunition, my dogs can detect them using their powerful sense of smell.
Often difficult to spot to the naked eye, bed bugs can quickly turn into a devastating infestation. My dogs can detect signs of bed bugs before the issue gets worse.
I use my years of experience training dogs from balanced learnings over the past years and apply these training tactics. They’re able to focus on the task at hand without being distracted.
In addition to getting “paws-on” experience during work, my dogs are regularly trained to keep their skills sharp. Of course, they also get rest days to relax between jobs and training. My dogs rest at home during their days off to be ready to go when needed.
When I’m not working with my dogs to detect pipeline leaks or other things, I also train other dogs (and their owners!) in obedience through my immersive training programs. From recall and off-leash control to aggression, I work with you and your dog to train your companion how to obey commands and reduce unwanted behavior.
From my military experience to the specially selected dogs I work with, you can count on my expertise when you need to detect pipeline leaks, other things like bed bugs or firearms, or train your family dog. My business is fully licensed and insured and my diligent K9s are ready to work for you!
